The audits
Somebody else's list
A catalogue assembled to prove a point proves nothing. So the argument is tested against lists compiled by other people, for other reasons, and every entry is checked against the same two questions.
Does it contain a functioning artificial general intelligence? And does it show you what an ordinary person does with an ordinary day? 176 entries so far, across 2 lists.
The pattern holds across both: plenty of artificial minds, very few artificial economies. But it holds far less strongly on a curated list than on a popularity ranking — which is itself the finding.

Any list compiled by someone else can be audited here — awards shortlists, syllabuses, other people's recommendations. The only requirement is that it was not assembled to make this site's argument.
